چکیده
The legal principle of accession suggests that people sometimes extend ownership a prominent item to related objects, resources, and benefits. For example, might assume whoever owns large land mass is also likely possess surrounding islands. In three experiments on 4–7-year-olds (N = 526) adults 498), we find prominence affects inductive inferences about both liking. Experiment 1, children were more infer character owned various individual blocks when the was initially described as owning pile (prominent) than single block (regular). 2 replicated this pattern in adults, found it extends across stimuli sets, but not fourth. 3 then revealed children’s adults’ preferences. Together, findings suggest preferences, likewise parts property law could reflect aspects psychology present from early lifespan.

Ramsification and inductive inference
An argument, different from the Newman objection, against the view that the cognitive content of a theory is exhausted by its Ramsey sentence is reviewed. The crux of the argument is that Ramsification may ruin inductive systematization between theory and observation. The argument also has some implications concerning the issue of underdetermination.

The present paper is a short reflection concerning the role which inductive inference played and can play in language learning. We shortly recall some major insights obtained and outline some new directions based on own work and results recently presented in the literature.
متن کاملInductive Inference and Link Analysis
Like link analysis, our approach to inductive inference has been concerned with observing behavioral elements or entities; determining how they are related within a specified domain; and describing how these entities may combine to classify or predict (even as-yet-unobserved) behaviors. Both the analysis and inference processes thus can define "all" the behaviors within a domain or "all" the co...
